Verizon: Moto-E815 vs Samsung-SCH-a950

Im switching over from Tmobile to Verizon. I went to the store and both of these were the same price. Which one is a better option in your opinion?

I have no plans on ever using VCast. However, I plan on buying a USB cable to download some songs and use my phone to play music.

Heres what Im looking for:
Good reception
Plays Music
Camera
Speakerphone
Bluetooth Capabilities

i was in the same boat looking to switch to verizon and I got the a950 which I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Especially if you are a mac user. they 'upgraded' the software so that it does not play mmp3s, only wma files!!! bad.

Also, i had a problem with a high whine in the speaker every ~1 minute which was VERY annoying.

I took it back, and i'm considering going to a different provider even though everyone I call regularly is verizon and i'd get free in-minutes...

basically, if you are not a mac user, and can't hear high frequencies, it's a good phone. if that's not true, AVOID.

I'm trying to find out if the motorola e815 is mac compatible
 
Get the E815 the a950 is cutting out on calls read in the samsung forum under verizon one the e815 is the best phone they have right now.
 
hmm.. i have had both Samsung a950, motorolla e815, and my 2 friends have the Razor V3c...
i'd say you should get teh Samsung... It has ipod like mp3... esp with the headset on.. The keys maybe a tad bit slow but what phone isnt..? Only minor issues w/ the samsung compared to the other ones..
Samsung Pros:
Speaker Phone= loud
Voice clarity 1-10 = 9.
Vibrate mode= hard
It has a nice over look
stylish
good reception
battery life B+
Cons:
No 1 push to vibrate..
pix id has to be on lowest resolution.
thats about it

Motorola e815 Pros:
Great phone
so/so reception
battery life.
mp3 non?
cons:
Too FAT!
Too bulky
too ugly
pictures are bad.

RAZOR v3c.
pros.
Nice
stylish
reception
battery life so/so
cons:
Slow slow slow menus and buttons
no vibrate and ring
bad mp3 player..
no sd card insert.
i have the samsung go w/ it!
 
Moto-E815............I hve read number of good reviews about this phone and I like it??. Sound quality, size, reception, bluetooth, camera pretty good for a phone, expandable memory ????? but one of my friend hve it and is not mch pleased with its reception?..
 
I've been reading some great reviews of the E815 also- however, Cnet says it doesn't roam in analong. My concern is that I travel to rural areas, and worry about coverage. Is this a valid concern?

NOTE: I'm looking for a backup to my trusty ol' Startac, which gets reception anywhere.
 
The general consensus is that the E815 gets the best reception of the new Verizon phones. Yes, there may be cases/circumstances where another phone but I've put my E815 up against numerous phones (LG and Samsung) and I 4 times out of 5, I have signal where they have nothing. I personally feel the E815 has a much better menu system (faster, more modern, can customize it fully). The A950 is known for mediocre reception, cutting in and out in calls, a poor keypad, and the clunky Verizon red interface. The E815 does use lightweight plastics but it feels plenty sturdy to me, and those who have dropped their's have said it still works great. Sure the A950 feels great and looks good, but when you compare the software, reception, call quality and what not, the E815 is a much better phone.
 
Thanks again everyone! After looking at everything Verizon has to offer 1st hand, I'm leaning towards the 815.

However, although I'm voicing my opinion, I think I'm going to let my wife and daughter decide which one they each want so they can't blame it on my later if they decide they don't like them. Our daughter of course is in love with the razer, which I WAS - until I heard a high pitched noise from the earpiece and wasn't even making a call. I also was not impressed.....it felt like a piece of cardboard and wasn't comfortable to hold & talk. Sure, it looks great, but....

As for me, I have an old Kyocera QCP-3035 and have decided to keep it for now. Hey, the black joystick may be intermitant, but anything that works after being run over with a van, broken LCD, and flattened by 1/8" is A-OK in my book!! Sure, I obviously got THAT phone replace after a couple of weeks, but the point is, for a phone to take that kind of a beating and keep working, there's got to be something really great out there for me to replace it! Maybe I'll upgrade myself after I see how their new phones perform for a few months??

After reading this m a little confused? and leaning towards E815 of course? wuld suggest u to go for it? but the end decision still remain urs

I pulled the trigger on the E815 tonight- so far, I've foundthe reception to be excellent. More bells and whistles than the last phone- but the voice dial is pretty cool. I might even use the camera once in a while.
