Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever bought a verizon cellphone on like ebay or whatnot, and then bought a prepaid plan from verizon that did not require a contract or credit approval?
I am looking to switch from t-mobile which has been my carrier for the past year because my phone has recently broke and I am just looking for a change. I have been in the army reserve for a year but am still a teenager with limited credit history. I can get approved for a contract but must pay a couple hundred upfront because I am a "liability" which I will not do. I cannot get credit approval because I have very limited history. So I have been on my own individual plan monthly prepaid for 71 dollars a month. Would it be possible to purchase a prepaid blackberry bold from someone and then purchase a monthly plan with verizon and have them activate it? Or must you purchase the phone from them? Thank you.
