Verizon looks back at 2008...shouldn't we!

Not to mention the mandatory data plan for all smart phones.

Not to mention how VZW charges smart phones data charges for every pic or video message even when you have the unlimited txt plan. (even when it stipulates that they shall not in the term and conditions)

Not to mention how VZW will charge you twice for the same thing if you have a smart phone connected to the connect plan and premium (that includes unlimited data) by charging you the $29.99 data plan.
 
Uh oh kttmf.... you're risking a warning... criticizing the great VERIZON WIRELESS.

I so wish T-Mobile or Sprint had a better market share of wireless coverage. I would switch to them in two seconds if I wasn't unfortunate enough to live in a SEMI-rural area.

Rural people have it bad. It took a government mandate for rural people just to receive telephone service in the 70's.... but how rural could I be? I Live in the Northeast... I'm Less than a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington DC, or Philadelphia... My semi-suburband population is as great as many suburban populations outside of major metro area.

Is fiber optic medim even being considered by anyone but Verizon?

By the way, major props to Verizon for FiOS.... I love it. But, I don't live in an area where FiOS will EVER be available (Embarq customer).

You see, brand loyalty means NOTHING in telecommunications... I want good service and features! It has nothing to do with the provider, and call clarity means nothing now... it's about FEATURES.

As far as being personally insulted.. Nick? Come on... remove my "infraction." I've been completely open here.
 
I have been a loyal customer with VZW for over 8 years. I had to go to the BBB and get the executive offices involved to fix something that I should not have been dealing with for a year.

I work for the Fed Gov as an IT Administrator so I to am a tech savvy customer of VZW and I have felt your exact feeling toward VZW. (I have voiced many of the same comments as you) They talk to you as you are inferior to them and you do not know the inner workings of the cell technology. I had one CSR tell me that since I never worked for a cell company I did not know what I was talking about.

I had one tech tell me "well you know you cell phone is a little computer".

VZW is to big and has little concern for it's customers issues or feelings.
