I've been having this problem for a while now and it's got to the point where it's costing me more out of my pocket. I have an UNAVAILABLE number that calls my cellphone frequently, I do not answer as it is an automated message, well it goes to my voicemail leaving the same automated message. Problem arises when I leave the country, where I do not answer this phone call, goes to my voicemail and I get charged for the phone call anyway. When I called Verizon, they state that it is a legitimate call, that I did pickup that call which is untrue. They won't admit that they are billing me wrong and won't credit my account for the charges that are not legit. I did find out from forums that there are problems with other carriers doing this, being charged even if the call was unanswered but on my recent trip to the Carribeans, I received that UNAVAILABLE call, it went to voicemail, I got a notification of a voicemail awaiting (which I did not retrieve) like 5 times in a row, and that missed call came up on a bill as an 8 minute conversation!!!! Since I can't seem to win this battle with Verizon about them charging me wrongfully, is there a way I can disable my voicemail right on my phone when I am out of country, I have a Motorola KRZR k1m. Or does anyone know how to fix this problem? or have same problem? and can help me out. I don't want to change my number but I am forced to fork out extra cash for calls that were never answered. I'm upset that Verizon won't do anything about it, there's a flaw and they won't even look into it.
