You should definitely switch to sprint. Even though if you have a smartphone it requires you to also have a data plan, the plans on sprint are amazing.
For example:
Everything Data Family - with Any Mobile, Anytime
1500 minutes for $129.99
or
3000 minutes for $169.99

This plan includes:

* Any Mobile, Anytime: Unlimited domestic calls from the Sprint network to and from ANY U.S. mobile phone regardless of carrier. Any network, any time.

* Unlimited data: Web surfing, email, BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS), GPS Navigation, Sprint TV and Radio, NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM

* Unlimited messaging: Text, pictures and video

* Talk: Night calling and weekends starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges. Lines 1-2 included. Lines 3-5 are $19.99/mo./line.

Besides plans, Sprint also has the best phones, such as the HTC Hero, Samsung Moment, Palm Pre, Palm Pixi, and coming this summer (the first 4G phone on a major national carrier) the HTC EVO 4G.

: ) HOPE THIS HELPS! : )

Hey guys i just found out Verizon is requiring a $ 10 data plan on all the phone and im already paying so much for messaging for my whole family, so basically ill be paying $50 extra every month for the data because there are 5 lines on my plan... even though ive been with Verizon for 10 years im going to switch because this is just ridiculous ...

Which provider doesn't force you to get data service that me and my family could switch too ?
ohh and do you keep your number when you switch providers ?
