Verizon/Alltel

our carrier is now Verizon since they bought alltel.

we have alltel phones & plans. I bought an alltel phone same model to replace my broken daughter cell phone.contract expires in Oct. seller says must have clear esn number.

havent recieved the phone yet. will need to take it to alltel and let them do their thing to make the phone workable. any thoughts on if its going to be hard to clear an esn number for the same carrier and phone?

Well, if the ESN is clear (meaning the phone hasn't been reported as stolen) then it should be easy to activate as long as you still have an ALLTEL plan on verizon. If you do not still have a Alltel plan, then verizon will not activate it. You can actually activate it online if you still have the "Alltel" plan, or you can call the mindless humanbots that verizon hires and ask them to do it (expect them to try to "convince" you to switch to an overpriced, underfeatured verizon plan and phone)
