Verizon A870 MMS & WAP is working.

Just to let people know that the check 40$ A870 from verizon prepaid can have full wap and pix messaging working on the phone, its a little tricky to get working but after 20 mins with one I did manage to get both features working. Not a bad little phone for $40.00.
 
My Samsung a870 senRAB picyures to other phones and recieves pictures fine. But for some reason when i send them to my email, they say sent but there is nothing in my email. All my other phones sent pictures to my email. Please help!!
 
I have had problems with this too, but reversed. For me it works when I send from my phone to my email (not my current one though) but not when I send from my email to #@mms.mycricket.com. Have you tried that way yet? My email (yahoo) gets a delivery failed email and it never goes through. I can't test it right now bc I have a U700 on my account and can't figure out MMS or WAP yet. I had the same problem with my EnV.
 
So I'm assuming you put the firmware on through SPST just like the u340, then after that what did you do? I have tried and the firmware goes on great but pics and internet did not work...did you manually configure wap and mms some how, thx amoamare.
 
OK I sent 3 more pictures to my email today and finally they came through. But only 2 of them and the other said failure notice (this is a permenant erro )( remote host said552 error: content rejected) Dont understand because all 3 were the same picture!
 
Nice...we did it two differnet ways. I wanted to do it with Cricket firmware on it and I got it working today with Cricket firmware 100% brew, pics and internet. Now I'm gonna go buy a crap load of these...your right fully Cricket with camera, bluetooth is not a bad phone.
 
Thanks steve. Now its on to the pics and wap. Do you think it would be possible with the US Cellular firmware or am I going to have to flash it over to Verizon? Also, Ive been trying the Verizon A870 and U540 dlls but they keep giving me a unsupported operation attempted error. Should I be using some other different dll?
 
i couldnt find the firmware..that would be better but i kno wap and mms is workin i been had it for a while i was gonna write a tut but im too damn lazy... but if i could find the firmware for it that wold make life alot easier
 
Firmware doesn't work automatically...you still have to edit the data settings because the firmware doesn't do a complete flash as far as data goes that is.
