...venus does have an atmosphere why? A.Venus is furthest from the sun than mercury
B. Venus is more massive.
C.Venus is warmer at night than Mercury

The reason is explained better by the previous 2 people. It has more to do with the fact that Venus "does" have an atmosphere.

because if i recall correctly, Venus has something like Super "Global warming" like imagine what we have, but multiply it by like 1000

venus does have an atmosphere, a very thick atmosphere that helps absorb, and also RETAIN heat, so it stays on the planet longer, then all that heat builds up, causing pressure, which in turn causes more heat ect.

mercury does not have an atmosphere, thus, true, all the solar radiation gets to the surface, but when that side isnt facing the sun, all that radiation that it just recieved is ejected back out into space, because there is no atmosphere to hold it in

B. The fact that Venus is more massive gives it more gravitational pull making it possible to maintain an atmosphere. Mercury's gravitational pull is not enough to keep an atmosphere. Since Venus is encased in gases, heat from the sun gets trapped by the gases like a greenhouse effect making its temp higher than Mercury since Mercury doesn't have atmospheric gases to trap the heat from the sun.

Mercury is so small it doesn't have enough gravity to hold onto an atmosphere. Venus' atmosphere traps heat from the sun, keeping it very hot. Mercury has no atmosphere with which to trap heat at night, so the heat escapes.
