Vendor Warning- Credit Card Fraud!

This is a warning to all my fellow vendors or other shops that do browse this forum.
We recently received a few orders online where the ship to location was not as the bill to location and all orders should be shipped to 1636 E. Laurel Ave, Gilbert AZ 85234.

In these cases we do request a credit card authorization from to be filled and send back to us with copy of DL and Credit card, this did not happen so the scam was discovered.

Fellow retail customers- This is protect you from a credit card scam, it's a pain but as you can see it's needed to protect you the customer.

We have contacted all cardholders ( this info was in the billing address) and informed them about this scam and so far all 3 cases turned out to be a scam, the cardholder had no idea this was going on and neither did he ever ordered something.

So just heads up to all other shops.
 
A quick search shows that this property was recently sold.

Here's a theory:
The perpetrator has determined the house is empty. Probably the moving trucks were the giveaway.
He orders things to be shipped to this address. The UPS driver rings the doorbell and leaves the package on the door step. Thief walks over and grabs the goods. He likely lives within a few houses from the drop address.
 
Hard to believe but just today another order from these thieves came in, this time shipping to 1213 E. Hearne Way in Gilber AZ again.

Man do I wish I would live near by there.
