VCR recording question???Please answer?

You hook your antenna or cable or satellite cable to the VCR input. Of course turn on the VCR and turn on your TV. You only need the TV on to make sure you have the right channel. Select the channel you want to record and put the VCR into record mode or turn on the VCR timer if you want to record a later program. You can turn the TV off when you're happy that you will record the right channel.
 
Do I just hook the cable through the vcr and click record or what
Whats a vcr are you crazy. It also can be called vhs player. use to play vhs tapes
