3. Spanish Cop
4. Forrest Whitaker
5. President
6. Bad guys (3 of them)

Think that totals 8?

I don't think you were supposed to know who the other three were and why they did what they did, part of the mystery!

But I agree it wasn't that good. I actually preferred the car chase bit at the end to the supposed intelligent bit.

I think they could argue that it was just human instinct. But yes, anyone cold-hearted enough to have done what he had wouldn't risk the whole thing
for the sake of a stupid little girl running out in front of him.
 
The idea of doing lots of flashbacks and showing the same thing lots of times from different people's point of view is just about the only thing I did like. I was expecting there to be 8 of them, not 5.
 
How so? Do you mean you weren't satisfied with the ending, or that it didn't actually make sense?



Yeah, that's what I thought. I think that's why they made it so that
he only saw the girl at the last second and the swerving of the steering wheel was just instinctive.

No rationale was given for the act of treachery by a secret service agent & the last minute act of compassion from a committed terrorist was mind bogglingly stupid.

Classic cases of plot contrivances taking precedence over character.
 
How was the TV camera man involved? It's fine leaving a few things to mystery but he had no influence in the plot and very little screen time, so why have him at all?

This was a short film, and taking into account the amount of repeated actual footage (seen from various angles) I wonder how much original material there was in the film in total. Someone mentioned 23 minutes... I assume that's from the opening 11:59:56 time right at the start of each sequence to the end, but I don't think we see every second of that through the whole set of stories, so I'd guess under 20 minutes of actual story...! The whole premise was a bit silly...surprising for hollywood... not!
 
Well, I would argue that this is less about it not making sense than it is about things not being covered by the film.

I agree that the motives of the terrorists weren't explored, but I quite liked that. I'm not saying I don't like films with an overtly political angle, but for this one I didn't mind that we weren't privy to their agenda.
 
I think he has a sleeper agent for a long time, as he says he's glad he can drop the act....

But yes, it is pushing the ground of credibility a bit.
 
I really hated the promos for this with a passion I refused to go an see it after That !!
It may be Good but the overkill advertising turned me to stone ..lol
 
Probably the best car chase sequence since Ronin, but other than that it was very much like a supermodel's head. . .glossy but ultimately empty.

Waited for the killer last 10 mins which never came.
 
I was confused as to how Thomas Barnes...........
(a man who had previously worked with the president closely) failed to recognise that the shot president was a lookalike yet after the crash he recognised the real president from a quick glance of the back of his head
 
When it went back to 12 o'clock the 3rd time, someone started singing "I've Got You Babe" (ala Groundhog Day) and that got a giant laugh.
 
Haven't seen the movie yet...Will it be a confusing one with the flashback? My brother wants to see it sometime this week. Just need to hear assurance.
 
You've got to concentrate on what's going on, but I wouldn't say the flashbacks are that confusing

I really enjoyed the film, and didn't pay much attention to the plot inconsistencies. I must just be easily pleased :o.
