Enraging Chaos

I have a 95 Toyota Camry LE that was recently hit in the back passenger side behind the rear wheel. The insurance decided it as a total loss and awarded me $1300 and something which was determined to be half the value of the car. This was awarded to me only because they claimed that I was partially at fault for the accident as well.
So selling it with the damage, I would post a pic but I'm at work. But basically it still drives great and just has the damage to it that would cost more than the value of the car to fix it. Selling it as it is, how much could I expect to get out of it?
The engine has around 100k miles on it the body has 170k miles.
The guy I bought it from, my mechanic, only wants to give me a couple hundred for it but I know the engine is worth more than that by itself.
Thanks guys and gals!
