Valley of the Muses 40.5 (Aragorn/Arwen LOTR): Board Closing, But Muses Are Eternal!

I don't recall thinking that any of it was particulary silly. I did find Elrond's warning/prophecy of Aragorn's death to be a bit overly dramatic :lol: , but I just thought that was Elrond's style. He's a dramatic type of elf. ;)

(My favorite part of the cast commentary is still during the Council of Elrond, when he announces that one of them must take the ring to Mt. Doom and throw it into the fiery chasm. And suddenly up chirps Orlando Bloom's voice asking "Why don't you take it, mate?" :lol: )

Oh, wait, I just realized you probably meant when Aragorn almost drowned and was rescued by Brego and Arwen. So never mind. :blush:

I rewatched the first half of TTT fairly recently, but haven't gotten to that part yet.

Yup! :D Pretty sure they're doing The Hobbit for sure. I'm very excited. :lol: And I'm happy that PJ and Fran will be involved, possibly PJ directing. :sigh: I just know he'll keep to the books. :nod: And I'm so glad you made your way over here, Nia. Mandy and I are also both hardcore A/A shippers, both of the movie and the books...and even a little Liv/Viggo shippage. :D I mean look at them!!

But actually now that I remeraber, Aragorn was probably off riding with the Dunedain trying to prove himself and all (:lol: ), leaving Arwen all to her lonesome. :(

The white dress Eowyn is wearing when she watches Aragorn and the others come to Edoras for the first time. I love the wide sleeves on it.

Can a Muse ever get tired of watching the coronation? Aragorn and Arwen finally reunited after all they've been through..... :love:

Yes. Things didn't just fall into place easily for Aragorn and Arwen. They had to decide to be together, no matter what they had to give up in order to do so. But their love was worth it for them. :love:



Yeah, that's what I meant. The ending was hilarious. :lol: And the reason it was so funny, to me, was that it was clear Mal and Zoe didn't have those types of feelings for each other. (Loved Jayne's line when he came in about that just being "downright unsettlin'". :lol: )
 
Yeah. I agree about Eowyn being cool but what I always thought was that both Eowyn and Aragorn were warriors and they needed people who would soothe the restless part of them and inspire them which is why I felt they both ended up with the right people. I'm like that, I usually don't like people together who are too much alike, for instance why I'm not a Skate fan.

Did either of you happen to catch AFI's 100 Years: 100 Movies? LOTR:FOTR was voted the 50th best movie of all time! It's the highest rated, newest movie on there. It will move up when they do it again (probably 10 years later like they did this time).

So... The Hobbit is being made into a movie for sure?
 
I recently re-watched all of the extended editions with my mother. I love all of the Aragorn/Arwen scenes *sigh*. But, I think the scene on the bridge in Rivendell from FOTR is my all-time favorite. One of the most beautiful romantic scenes in film ever. Although, the reunion scene in ROTK is awesome, too :D
