Valentine 1 "Falsing" on Acceleration - help!

I just did my own install (V1) to my 1098 with direct wiring to my battery. I am using a HARD system as well - things are working fine except... this is a quote from a thread:

"Running to the battery is only a minor inconvienience... After a ride now I just reach down and unplug my HARD unit.

I have run into only 2 minor issues with the 1098 which occur on some motorcycles with less than herculean charging /shielding systems..

1. Now and then if I accelerate really fast.. it will trigger the V1 for a few seconds as the power drain on the battery triggers a slight drop in voltage.. This happens on 1-4 bikes...

2. My cell phone will trigger the V1 if it's bouncing off "roam" and a full signal.. The cure for this is just to turn off the cell phone while riding.."

I am having problem number one. Any thoughts? It is really annoying - it is like my system is crying wolf...

While I don't have the V1 but the Escort X50 also hard wired to the battery and a HARD system, I do not have this problem. Maybe the connections are loose or there is a cut in the line or its too near a heat source?

I have the Passport 8500 X50 with the HARD system on my B King. I had the same issue of the HARD warning going off on strong acceleration ( just the HARD, not radar detector going off). The fix was to replace the HARD system with a new one under warranty. Works great now....I highly recommend this system.
