If i want to make a home made super car, from and old chassis with my own design. Mid front engine and rear wheel driven.

1. A truck/Jeep diesel engine V8 or V6 converted to petrol engine and be implanted to the car?

2. If it uses diesel, a supercharger or turbo charger would be better?

3. For best performance which type of gear box and suspension should be use?

4. What other aspect to consider wheel building it up?

According to you, what top speed can this diesel powered engine achieve?
Would it be wisher to modify the engine to petrol? Is it possible?

To make such a car, which normal street car is appropriate to modify?
Honda civic, Mitshubhishi evolution, lancer, etc...suggest one.

Which body parts, like the axel, tires, rims, catalytic exhaust etc other than the core to be modified?

I would be thankful for your help and make it a success.
According to you what can be the estimated price to modify that car??

I'm not entirely certain I understand your question.

Jeep engines are going to have little aftermarket support and really aren't "supercar" engines anyway.

The only Jeep diesels I can think of are either Renault or VM Motori. The Renault was completely unexceptional. It would be cheaper and easier to just find an Isuzu diesel from the same time period

The tall deck AMC V8s weren't very powerful (except perhaps for the 390 4bbls but Javelin and AMX owners aren't going to let those go easily)

Anyway, Chevrolet power is going to be a lot cheaper. Or you can go the deTomaso Pantera rounte and stuff in a 351C 4V. To be different? How about a Buick 455?

I don't know why you would want to use a FWD or transverse AWD car to make a RWD car unless you want to show off some mad fabrication skills. I would use a Vega/Monza, Mustang II, early Capri, or maybe even a Subaru chassis. (Subaru only if I wanted to figure out how to fit a Ford 9" or maybe a Jag IRS out back and keep the thrust angles straight.)

Now that I think about it, I like the idea of a turbo Buick 231 70's Capri. Crap. Why did you do that to me?
