V3m flashed to Cricket. Everything works but...

I searched this board and probably read several hundred posts without finding solid answers to how things are working on this phone.

I flashed this V3m with the Alltel monster. Did the 6 razr files. Also did the seem edit to allow the text msg download. (Thanks Phx_Cricket, might hafta visit you) I also tried all the same on the Generic flash, same results.

What's happening is that my evdo is on, cool. My prl is 1012. (I also tried prl 1050 & 38044. prl 1050 wouldn't work for anything) When I open the browser, I get:

Error: Cannot resolve hostname

If I try to download a mms text msg, it gives me an error there as well about not being able to download and to try later.

The strange thing is, after trying 3-15 or more times to start the web browser, or download text msgs, My evdo indicator will turn to a green square with a D in it (indicating digital service and killing my battery) and then things start working as they should. After 5 minutes, the green square with the D in it then goes back to evdo indicator. I even tried making a new web session with some different settings but failed there too.

Any help or suggestions to fix would be GREATLY appreciated! Read this: please help me b4 I end up throwing this phone against the wall! :wow:
 
if everything works sometimes are u sure that u just dont have bad reception.. my razr used to be extra picky that i had to have full bars to send a text or get on the web or it would time out... actually the razr was the worst at that.. constantly would get message not sent if not in strong signal area
 
No, I wish that was the case. I have 5 bars, good reception. To track this problem down, I thought I'd give customer service a call and have my account refreshed for a start. Phone was off. I waited 15 minutes, turned it on, did a *228 again, turned it off after that. Turned it back on, tried the web browser, same thing.

Error: Cannot resolve hostname

It seems like it's not even trying to do anything as this error msg pops up right away. Several or more attempts, it then goes.

I might add, as an afterthought, while I was experimeting, I did flash this phone to the Cricket V3c monster and everything worked perfect. I guess the evdo indicator on the V3c is a red 3g. Interesting.

Any help, any suggestions? Error: Cannot resolve hostname on a V3m It's making me crazy!

I used the Alltel monster first and I had the same exact problem....
If you go here and use the generic monster it will fix all of your problems.....

Only thing is, how would I go about "setting up" evdo? I looked around in PST 7.25 and saw -nothing- that would indicate it was to specifically "setup evdo". I've see you dispense this same advise in other posts but there was no explanation on how to.

Do you have any info or links explaining how to setup evdo on this V3m?
