That's what they say about us BMW owners, and you're only helping feed the fire. I don't drive M3's because they are the fastest, cheapest nor most practical vehicles within their segment. There is so much more to a car (..or a bike) than JUST strict performance numbers.
 
I said my evo, only 400hp was faster around the track by 1 sec than the elise.
I also said a 50k$ evo is faster than pretty much anything.
I drive a bmw for now because I sold the evo to get something different for the time being. Likely sell it in spring to dump that money on parts for the evo x and drive my e46 daily with the evo and lotus to have fun in.

I absoutely agree, as I said before thats why I bought the 1198. Its deff the worst deal for the money compared to the r1 gsxr cbr or zx but I lust for it so to me the 6k different was really nothing. Its only 6 grand anyways, not a huge jump like from something similar in the car world like S4 to c63amg price for basically same car.

......In my 10 years of driving BMW's, I haven't run across that many BMW pricks. A prick is a prick is a prick regardless of what they drive. EVO and Subie pricks are far easier to come by. That's besides the point however.

..and an S4 and C63 are far from being the same car.

+1 On Subaru and Evo pricks. Every STI owner thinks they are Ken Block with Monster stickers on their cars. BMW Drivers aren't pricks, just pricks are BMW drivers sometimes.

Its the same class car, espically last gen 4.2.
ITS m3, s4, c63 all same class.
But then youll argue the e46 was an IL6 making only 333 and the e90 is 414 v8


If you say the 50k$ evo wont out run anything name some other car that will do 0-60 in say sub 3 seconds & 10 sec quarter miles?

A 50k evo won't that's for sure. As far as your sub 3 0-60 a Koeniggsegg CCX will. A modded Noble will. Ultima GTR will. Radical will. shall I go on?
 
I love my E90 V8.

In either case, I know of a many force induced E46 ///M3's that are in the 10 sec 1/4 mile range (..mostly running HPF kits, or something similar). It can be done for less than 50k including the price of the car.
