Remember that even though the Ducati has 200cc more displacement they also have to add ballist to the bike and I also believe they have more restrictive tuning allowed as well. They may even have restrictor plates installed too.

I still wouldn't trade my Ducati for any other bike period.

Lol I had a 400hp evo.

I am building an evo X to 500-600hp as my new toy for less than 50grand I'm going to have another car that walks all over pretty much anything. Hell, I run the bone stock elise at my track and im faster than almost allways anyone at corvette days, porsche you name it and my 400hp evo was 1 sec a lap faster than my lotus.

I agree with Rap....I enjoy riding most anything, frankly

But, to the OP, I have both a 07 R1 and the 1098. Completely different bikes, but I certainly enjoy them both. I have to admit that since buying the Duc, I refer to the R1 as my "cruiser bike".....since it is wider, heavier, and slightly more upright..... enjoy them both, for sure.. (1098 more, of course!)

Maybe more flow when you are feeding smaller pistons. I'm sure that WSBK rules make sure they get less efficiency with the restrictor plate to offset the bigger displacement.
