V-Twin vs I4

If the displacement for a twin is that much better, the other manufacturers are more than welcome to join in the V-twin platform. Why are you here?

They HAVE to give the twins the 20% BIGGER MOTOR so they can compete. If they droped to match engine size with the il4s or il4s raised the additional twenty freaking percent then twins wouldnt be racing but in their own field.

hey im no expert but wasnt the 999r competitive against the the I4 and they were all in the same displacement range

Let me try to be a little more clear. If say, Honda, wanted to file a complaint about Ducati having more displacement allowance, why wouldn't they make a twin to have the same displacement? If there was indeed an advantage to the twin having more displacement, wouldn't you think that all the others would just on the v-twin boat? They all play by the same rules and therefore can all do the same things.

No no no I think you're miss remembering. Those bikes weren't even close to being competitive. It was only due to Toseland, Bayliss and Hodgson's super human like racing abilities that Ducati won those particular titles.

Exactally, I know ur not being sarcastic because that would showcase your stupidity.
The 999 was hugely down on power and up in weight on the il4s. The 05 gsxr 1000 made at least 20hp more and was lighter and faster than any other bike and that was 2 years before ducati came out with anything faster. Oh and the 999r was what tripple the price of the gsxr.

Shall we turn this into a "How the 999 ruined Ducati and then the 1098 saved them"

No.

But yes, 2003, 2004 and 2006 Ducati won WSBK over the I4 competition.
