Where you from DTM? and do you work for Honda?
This should clear thing up. Ducati, 16 of 22 manufacturer titles, 13 of 22 rider titles in WSBK. Top level production bike racing in the world.

As you can see from my signature, I have both I-L 4s and V twins in the garage. I prefer the I-L 4 for the track and the V twin for the road, but that's just my preference. And in any case, I'm probably not the best judge, 'cause I love all motorcycles. Vespas, Harleys, GoldWings, Ducatis, Boxers, Triumphs, Cruisers, Sport bikes, Choppers, Scramblers, I don't care. If it's got two wheels and an engine, I love it!

Your talking about $50k+ v twin motors competing with 10k$ il4s.
Also look at reliability hahahah.

Oh wait what was that, oh thats right, the twins need more displacement to compete with il4s! So If you want to argue race motors at least compare a 1000cc twin to a litre bike

The twin is better to ride on the street for fun as its torquey but face the truth the il4 is deffinately the better all around motor.

mariok,

Speaking of, "fixed ideas,"...Ted,

Yes I have. I actually did a write-up about tracking my 1098s a couple of years past. And I loved it! The problem was, my overriding fear of binning it made me too cautious. I couldn't really let loose. In contrast, I have no emotional attachment to my Japanese track bikes, and they're, (relatively), cheap to repair and/or replace, so I'm able to ride much closer to the edge on them.

If money were no object for me, I'd definitely be tracking the 1098s and the F4. They're obviously better track bikes than my Japanese bikes. But I can't afford to fix them when I crash, and I can't bare the thought of damaging either of them, so on the track, I go with fungible Japanese bikes.

I plan to convert my 1098 into a track bike some day. The F4, on the other hand, will never see the track. That bike is irreplaceble. At this point, I'm thinking about putting it in my office!

btw, I really liked your wallpaper!

Wow...Just goes right back to what I said in another thread about people giving smart ass comments then I say something legit or at least not as downright stupid as "il4s can suck it"
then everyone rides me for saying its the better platform while the bullshit comments from others get praise.

The legitimacy of you're comments is what most question. I'm sure in your own mind they are legit but to alot of experienced people, they are not. I've read alot of your comments in regards to things and it seems that sometimes you just blurt things out that are a little off base.
