V&H Twin Slash slipons?

THEY"RE ON !!!!
nice low sound at idle. they definately do perk up as the wrist rolls back. nice sound cruising too...around 2000 rpm. Didnt' really crack 'em hard on the ride home...this "break in" thing is KILLING ME!!! bike only has about 150 miles on it. As you can see from the pics the weather around here hasn't exactly been helpfull with putting on the miles...and another FOOT of the white stuff coming tomorrow...Yeah ! that's awesome
F it..i think i'm gonna go skiing.....

Finally got down the driveway today. Only rode about 10 miles cause it is still just over 30*. Pipes sound good! Real nice low rumble at 60 mph cruise, not objectionable at all. But twist the wrist and they really talk to ya'. I am happy with them so far . Bike ran surprisingly well with the base map that I downloaded, can't wait to get the tune.

Glad to here you are happy with the sound,I've had a new pair sitting in the garage for a week or so, I just had a total knee replacement, and it's killing me not to be able to put them on and ride since I live in Florida it's definately warm enough to do so !!
I hope the weather breaks for you soon,I lived in upstate NY till 2 years ago so I know the itch! Been watching your thread hoping I bought the right pipes for myself,it sounds like there not too loud which is what I was shooting for.

Hey Baggrmark, hope the knee heals quickly. These mufflers are pretty loud on throttle but they calm down to a nice rumble at cruise,I put 'em on dresser duals so that might make a difference. I ordered the quiet baffles because i wanted to decide between the two before I paid for the dynotune but they are on back order until the middle of April. Now that I have ridden with them I have decided to cancel the Quiet baffles and go ahead with the tune because I don't think that they are too loud . I will still try to post some vid clips as soon as I can. Man, a move to Florida is soundin' better all the time

I'm wondering which pipes have a lowers sound, your Twin Rounds or my Twin Ovals (not monster ovals). been trying to figure out if they are the same internally but tough without side-by-side comparrison. Can't tell from web-site either. Sent e-mail to V&H to try to clarify...

I called V&H tech support and asked them the difference in loudness between the V&H ovals I have now and the V&H twin slash rounds. They said the V&H ovals are 97-98db and the twin slash rounds are 101-102db which would make them noticable louder than the V&H ovals I have now. He also mentioned that the twin slash "ovals" would be the same 97-98db as the ovals I already have. He said the twin slash slip-ons have more "crackle" to the exhaust note.

Have a 2010 Limited and just put the 4.5 inch twin slash ovals with the optional quiet baffles on. Have a nice low growl to them and stay quiet until you ask for power. Did the A/C and race tuner with d/l. I don't like real loud pipes and these fit the bill well. Look great and have recieved quite a few compliments.
