You're right about power but heat reduction is the result of not having the cat converter anymore, not the Power Duals.
2-1-2 headers will always be hotter than true duals aka 2-2.

looks like the Dresser duals may be the way to go...I'm looking for both heat reduction and better sound....not to mention I'm thinking black pipes on my Sedona Orange Road King and the Power Duals are chrome only

Thanks for the info frenchbiker! Very helpful!

I went with dresser duals in black on my bike....to me they look way better than the x pipe of the powerduals...........I initially had the V&H HO slip ons but changed yesterday to black monster ovals and the sound is much more tolerable...the HO's were like strait pipes. in fact when you look through them it's just a big hole one end to the other.....

Thanks for the pic! I'm wanting the same combo..black Dresser Duals and black Monster Ovals...I think that would be a great looking set of pipes with the Sedona Orange color

Nice rumble with the MO's without being obnoxious or leaving your ears ringing?

True too, forgot about that. If you stand 5ft behind the 2 mufflers it's pretty much 50-50 with the D/D. I'd say it's 70-30 with the P/D.
This is true for both sound and exhaust gasses.
