V for Vendetta is the new flim from the Wachowski 'The Matrix' Brothers. It's an adaptation of a genius graphic novel by Alan Moore, who also wrote the fantasitc "Watchmen," (also soon to be a film.)

V for Vendetta is set in a futuristic totalitarian Britain, and tells the story of a young woman named Evey (played by Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante (played by Hugo Weaving, Agent Smith in the Matrix) known only as "V" who is fighting against the tyranny and oppression of the state.

Below is the first pic of the natalie portman with a shaved head in preperation for the role... Still think she looks fantastic. ;) :D

I saw an article online where she talked about getting it done, and all I could think was 'So what? It'll grow back' :) To be honest, though, I think this is probably her way of proving she's a serious actress - in other worRAB, she'll do anything for her art.
 
Been a fan of this one since it was in the long gone UK comic Warrior. Have the graphic novel now and it's a beaut. Very stylish. In the comic 'V' wears a mask and looks like Guy Fawkes. It's very 1984 (the novel, not the year). Ah, check this out..

Good news about film but I really hope they don't balls it up. I loved the first Matrix but thought it had disappeared right up itself by the last one (they should limit the budget!)
