I'm also not down with horror....it's a political action movie, I guess is the best way to describe it.

It really is. I preferred Finch/Evey watching the fireworks at the end, and Evey bringing things full circle for V.

I am thinking about doing a music video to "V for Vendetta".

Does anyone have any song suggestions they think might go well with the film?

It can be anything from a ballad to a hard-rocking anthem, but I would at least like it to be by contemporary artists (mid-'90s to now).

:)

best movie ever!!!!!

i love natalie portman in this movie.

brilliant brilliant movie!!!

wow the comic is almost as old as me.
I don't like the idea of Evie and Gordon together.

Melinator, no, you did not! You didn't even tell you you'd started....where's the love, yo? :(

Oh, 'Run', love that song! I never would have associated it with this, so if you go with that one, I can't wait to see how you work it.

Made some LJ icons :D:

Comments are nice, credit is even nicer. Hope you guys enjoy!

I loved the whole look of Sin City and I thought it was fascinating with all the different stories/characters and how they tied into each other. Loved it. I'm all about the darkness though.

Anjinator - You kill me. I adore Phantom of the Opera............the stage show and the novels. I liked the new movie too. However, no comparison to this movie at all IMO.

I'm going to watch it tomorrow. :)

Did I tell you I finished the graphic novel?

I've been sampling a lot of music specifically for this project and I've narrowed it down to some possible candidates:

Stand Up - Trapt

Run - Snow Patrol

The beauty of these kinds of songs is they are so vastly different, but they emphasize various aspects of the film in different ways.

For example, "Run" is more of a philosophical, deeper exploration of some of the ideas the film explores while "Stand Up" is a literal exploration of fighting the totalitarian regieme with lyrics like "I'll finish what you started when we come face to face" -- Which is perfect for "V for Vendetta" is so many ways it's really errie.

Also, I scoured Youtube to see some of the "V for Vendetta" videos for inspiration and ironically, these two were already done... But to be honest they weren't very good in my opinion and were typical of most videos you find on the net with scenes going on way too long and no real editing taking place. As a result, I may just redo one of them the proper way... Or, maybe not. We'll see...

What kind of movie is it good like?

I can go for almost any kind of movie except horrors. Is it like War of the Worlds...it looked good in the commericals but it was just okay to me

Melinator, too cool about one including the graphic novel...I didn't even know about that edition. Though, I already had the novel.

I think the extras are good, but really wish there had been commentary...especially cast.

I've watched it 25x so far though.

I thought we'd discussed this before. ;)

I'm still not sure, but I could see it, though as you did say, there are some holes in that theory. I wasn't really into the V/Evey love story angle in the movie....do you think that was just thrown in there? I have now read the graphic novel, and there was something in there as well.
