Using the iPhone 4 from AT&T and switching it to verizon?

My sisters boyfriend gave her the iPhone 4 from AT&T and she has a droid with verizon and so she just gave it to me to have. Is there anyway I can use it with verizon? If not and I go to the verizon store and talk to them about it will they do anything so I can use an iPhone please help!
