Using Sanyo 8100 on cricket

any of you guys that are using the Sprint Sanyo 8100 on cricket having problems about text messaging? Everytime time I text message it wants to connect to the PSC vision. When I recieve them it shows them up as alert txt message. Cant reply, nor I dont know who is the person sending me the txt.

i do not believe the sanyo 8100 supports 2-way sms messaging. when using it on sprint you need to text message through the vision service.

i see, is there a way we can modify the software or flashing the phone into a different firmware or something?

Nope, Only the sanyo 8200 can do it the way you want. If you are in Denver I know someone with an 8200 who's trying to get rid of it.
