Using native Nokia VoIP client - particularly with les.net / voip.ms

I got a Nokia E63 recently and was excited to find out it has a built-in VoIP client. Since my provider (Rogers) allows VoIP (and it would work on WiFi too of course) I'd like to configure this.

I have accounts at les.net and voip.ms, and have an ATA at home and a client on my iPhone configured to work with both, no problem... but for the life of me I cannot get the native Nokia client working with either provider.

Has anyone gotten this client working with any provider? Any advice?

Thanks torched, for the tip - I did do that already but it isn't obvious at all so I appreciate the suggestion.

Rene, I'll give those guidelines a setting tonight to see if that helps.

I'm well aware that I have to enter settings, but settings that look like they work (and are similar to what does work on my Linksys ATA and my iPhone softphone) don't work.

post what your ATA settings are and I'll see if I can help you out.

Usually the things you'll need for the Nokia SIP client are:
username
password
public username
proxy server
registrar server
Transport type (automatic or UDP)


I think that's about it....I've never had to go into the the advanced setting.

Also, once you create the settings in the settings/connection/sip you have to go to "net settings" found in the control panel then "create voip service" and select the SIP profile you just created. Then it will allow you to "enable VOIP" on the home screen after clicking the WLAN scan. You can also enable it from going to your contacts and "tabbing" over. After it's activated just select the number, hit options, call, internet call.
 
I am using the native nokia client. I actually also had it working with mywebcalls as well. But I no longer have any credit on the mywebcalls account. The phone will still connect to it too. Because it allows you to connect to as many VOIP clients as you have configured.
 
Which SIP client do you use on your iPhone? Is that the one that Chinese firm sells in the iTunes Store? iSip. (form. SipPhone).
