Using MAMP and PHP files?? Limitations?

Ok, my university allows the students to have a subdomain name and a certain amount of web space. i.e. http://www.yourname.college.edu

I have a website.. and i have created content. I want to remake my website but with PHP and all the stuff that MAMP comes with (MySQL, Apache, PHP).

Once my PHP based site is done, is it even possible to take it from my localhost and put it on to my site from my school??
