using a dummy phone for faceplate

I was thinking.. of using a dummy phone to use it as a faceplate.

mainly for the 5500 that i plan on buying. Is it normally possible? or are the faceplates completely made of another diffrent material

it would probably vary between models but the dummy phones i have taken apart in the past at previous jobs, they are totally different. the ones i have taken apart don't have screw holes in the right places but you might get lucky, lol

Most dummy phones I believe use a cheaper plastic then the really thing.

it doesn't work. I got my hands on s cheap dummy phone just to take apart. They are just cheap plastic parts that are glued together.

that is exactly what I have experienced in the past that they aren't put together the same as a regular phone
