I'm planning a project with a friend and I've been thinking about some of the more technical things. Please correct if I'm wrong, but if I have an application that wants to interact with the web do I not need to have an http and tcp interface. Back to the question I have no experience with the web or with the web based applications do I need php or any thing like that to interface with a web site such as facebook. As said I've never programmed any thing that interacted with the web so please explain things point me to resources. Thanks in advanced.
