use T-Zones to web surf

Is it possible to buy the $5.99 T-zones plan to web surf? I figured it would be possible cause it unlocks unlimited data, and would I be able to do 3rd party apps that require data? Wouldn't you just have to put wap.voicestream.com as the APN?

I don't have $40 to spend a month for me and my sister to get the unlimited add-on so I'm seeing if this could be an alternative.

Nope - I've tried it. When I got my 1st bb, I left the tzones plan on to see how it would work. Web browsing - not all sites would work. 3rd party apps - no go, nothing was able to connect, even with setting application permissions and entering the APN. When I called TMo (pretending to not know about the bb data plan), they said the $5.99 plan wasn't supposed to work at all on bb's, they were surprised I was even able to get online.

well maybe my BB will work....idk If I add the plan could i delete it before the month is over and not be charged? Just to test it out at least?
oh yeah one more question. Say I bought a new wifi enabled BB (like curve or pearl, or wait and get a Bold), Would I be charged for downloads and stuff if I'm connected via wifi?

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~tmobile has closed the gateways with the tzones so only works with wap sites. Some people still get it but they are working on fixing the "glich"

Ok. Well say I bought a wifi-enabled BB (like a new pearl or new curve, or Bold when it comes out), could I do over the air DLs and use 3rd party apps on that without a data plan if I was connected to my home network?

if you are connected to wifi then you will have full access to data services. however you are crippling yourself but not adding the services to use them all the time
