Each version has its own twists and turns and each version is amazing. I have been a fan of this pairing since 1995 and that's 12/13 years of being a fan of this pairing. I love them in every version
I have taken hundreds of screenshots of them from all the episodes they were in and told their story throughout the whole series. I've taken hundreds of screenshots of them.
So, who are Usagi and Mamoru?
Usagi is the caring, hyper and clumsy teenager with a heart of gold who was Princess Serenity in the past, who is Neo-Queen Serenity in the future and has the alternate identity of Sailor Moon, as well as Princess Sailor Moon (Live action version) Super Sailor Moon and Eternal Sailor Moon. Usagi is named Serena in the English version.
Mamoru is Usagi's boyfriend. He is mysterious, cool, loving and passionate. He was Prince Endymion in the past, King Endymion in the future and has the alternate identity of Tuxedo Mask, Tuxedo Kamen, Moonlight Knight, Dark Endymion and Present Endymion (Live action version) Mamoru is named Darien in the English version.
They get married in the future and become king and queen and have a child, who in the present is nicknamed Chibi-Usa.
Their romance in the anime, manga and live action version is throughout the entire series. They are a couple throughout the series and have made it through every obstacle, secret identities, brainwashing, spells, memory loss, break ups, long distance, death, kidnappings, misunderstandings, other suitors, illnesses, rivals, people from the past, multiple personalities, love triangles and more.
They are dating and a couple in the anime, manga and live action version.
In the anime, their relationship faced the most obstacles, but it made their relationship stronger. When they are a couple in the anime, their devotion is strong and they have saved each other so many times.
In the manga, their relationship is more intimate and they have more kissing and in bed scenes.
In the live action version, their was a whole new way of developing the couple, including Mamoru having a fiance named Hina and Usagi and Mamoru having to separate and Mamoru getting Usagi to control the silver crystal, as well as Usagi's alternate personality, Princess Sailor Moon.
They were named Serena and Darien in the English translation.
Mamoru and Usagi get married in every version.
In the manga and anime, Mamoru gives Usagi a ring at the airport, while in the live action version, he gives her a ring during the time they restore the earth after it was destroyed as well as in the sunset.

I have watched tons of great soap operas and teen dramas (Beverly Hills, 90210) and I've watched so many great romance/drama series, and Usagi/Mamoru are my favorite couple of all time.
