US Navy Boot camp question?

Know your Sailor's Creed, Ranks, 11 General Orders. Those 3 things for sure. Other than that everything else you need to know will they'll teach you.

For your push ups it depends on age.

general orders, phonetic alphabet, sailors creed, all the things in the first answer...and also learn the lyrics to the song "Anchors Away". There is a tunnel there that goes from one side of the base to the other and whenever you go through that tunnel, you and everyone else have to sing that song.

I didn't have to do any push-ups the first day...but they made up for that later!

your first few days are called "P-days" cause you'll still be processing. You'll be getting all your issued stuff and books. The first three of four days you will wear nothing but navy blue sweats with the navy embelem on it. Or navy shorts and a white t-shirt. You'll wear sneakers until you get your boots issued too. Be prepared to not shower or brush your teeth or sleep for like the first week. NEVER REFERR to the number "0" as the letter "o"!! If your social security number (which you need to memorize) has a "0"...say ZERO not "OH"!! They will make you do lots of push ups for that! The first day is a lot of standing in formations and lines. Look forward, and do not look around or talk to anyone. Always, if there are double doors, go in the right and out the left. The building you are going to be in will be referred to as your "ship". They all have a number. Remember your ship number. Week 5 of bootcamp, you have to run every place you go. Even if it's just across the street or anywhere...NEVER get caught in your 5th week walking. Always know what time of day it is, as you have to greet your higher ups like "Good Morning Petty Officer".

There are TONS of other things, but some you will just have to learn when you get there! I don't wanna spoil everything for you!
