I have to write a short story over some aspect from the Civil War to the present time. It can deal with any American topic appropriate to this time period. It can be written in first or third person. It can be a normal narrative or be written as memoir or a diary. It can have famous ppl in the story but they can't be the primary character. It can be about a fictional character. I need some ideas please!
