I have a LG Rumor UX260 from US Cellular. They discontinued this phone.
So originally, this was my dad's phone, he's in a contract. The phone broke, he was eligible for another phone so he never sent it in to get fixed. I think at the time it broke, they had already discontinued the phone. So since they cant/won't fix it, my question is:
Does US Cellular have to give me a phone that is equal or better to the one I have if they can't/ wont fix it?
My dad plans to add me on his line on his contract. But I really want this phone, or a better one. My dad's upgrade was a flip phone. But I really love Keyboard. Plus his "upgrade" doesn't have video. But he doesn't too much care about the phone he gets, because he's old, lol.
So if I were have this phone on a line, put insurance on it, and send it in to get fix, do they have to give me a phone with the exact same features as the old one (or better)? Or can they hand you anything that is considered an upgrade?
I do realize that US Cellular has a UX265 that looks just like my UX260, but the 65 doesn't have video, and mine does. Do I have the right to demand a phone with the same features as mine?
One more thing, since my dad is already in a contract does my dad qualify for the contract deals with those touch screens, or do you have to have a new contract for that deal?
