Us Cellular lg ux5000.... gsm or cdma!

Hi Guys,
Just a durab question from a newbee. I have been practicing flashing phones for last few months. I called up all my frienRAB and asked them to donate their old phones so I can mess with them without doing any real harm. So far I have done a lot of motorolas (v3m and v3c), I did a few samsung and lg phones. My favorite was the htc and I am keeping that one for personal use :)
Here is the problem I had while I was trying to do a lg ux5000. I got the spc by using a program called lgasc+write program. I connected the phone using qpst and it shows up as a gsm phone. The setup looks completely diff! Now my question is ..... is this really a gsm phone? I don't see how as there is no place for a sim card. It's with USC and on the back of the phone there is a little sticker that says "QUALCOMM 3G CDMA". So I must be doing something wrong as far as qpst goes.
Can you guys point me to the right direction.
I also would like to use this opportunity to thank all the senior merabers for this great site and help and all the newbs like me for all the stupid questions as I can realate to those myself and they made it a lot easier for me to learn.

Yeah its CDMA. What version of QPST are you using (what build?). 323 has been out for a while and maybe it wont think its GSM.

Otherwise you could use CDMA Workshop to write the prl.

Seems like most ppl like build 215. Does it matter from build to build? Obviously newer builRAB are supposed to fix bugs while sometimes they create more. So therefore ppl tend to stick with what is stable like 215. Just curious.

tried build 323. Still same problem. I also tried to use cdma workshop. It fails to load prl to NAM1. Any idea? Could you plz give me the steps on how to use cdma workshop to change prl. May be I am going through the wrong steps.

Don't worry about it saying it failed to load. Sometimes, it says it failed to load when it actually did.

Dial 611 from the phone and see if the Cricket dude answers.
