A previous cellphone bill was placed in collections, I've never had anything in collections before so I was curious as to what steps I can take to protect myself yet still get the debt paid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I live in North Carolina and the debt was turned over in December 09.
I have all intentions to pay it, and have from the moment I broke the contract, I was just hoping I could make it to tax time without it going to collections. My main concern is giving my checking account info out. The agency is really rude and are trying their best to get my bank info. I would assume some sort of written payment plan should be in order, then I will be more than willing to pay.
