I would really love to become a ranger, the route I would take would be ROTC then hopefully commissioned as an Infantry officer.

So the main question is from there how do I join the rangers as an officer? By the way, I know I have to be a 1st Lt. promotable.

Thanks.

1st lt promotable is for special forces, not rangers.
EVERY SINGLE officer (included prior enlistd ones) who wanst to go infantry is trying to get into the rangers, so honestly your chances are slim to none.
regiment is an enlisted mans game anyway, if you want to be a ranger, then go enlisted. its not like how it was back in WWII where officers led the charge. these days you'll be lucky to spend a year out of your WHOLE career with an actual infantry platoon, instead of doing paperwork. if you really want to be an officer with the rangers: go enlisted 11X option 40, hope you get into regiment, then do the green to gold program after you have some connections in regiment.

If you are an active duty officer with a combat arms MOS, Ranger school is almost there for the taking.

You can go to Ranger School as an O-1, I've seen many rangers who were Second Lieutenants.

In your OBC, the Orderly Room has a clipboard for various schools after you graduate. you can sign up for Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger, etc.

I was National Guard when I went to OBC, so I didn't qualify. I went to Jump School when I was enlisted.
