im 5'10 210 pounds, im a high school offensive linemen(i know im small), im in decent shape, im also a junior. after the senior season is when im going to run and try and loose most of my body fat to get ready for rotc or nrotc marine option. i want to join either the Marines or the Army as an officer, but do not want a desk job right when i am in. here is what i am stuck on

Army:
i really want to go to jump school, (u gotta admit, jumping out of planes has got to be a great adrenaline rush).
i really want to go to ranger school to better myself, and become a better leader.
i hate the army's dress uniforms (i like the combat uniforms) (i also like to look good)
much better gear
more ways to become a better soldier

Marines:
tradition (big factor here. i love when they really involve the history and tradition on the average soldier the Army does not, which i dont like)
they enforce historical things about the corps
dress blues (there sick)
my grandpa was a Marine for 23 years
i hate being on ships (especially for long periods of time)
not as great gear
they make sure you perform you best every day
not as many ways to improve as a soldier
seems like they have more pride in themselves

i love both, im am exactly 50/50 on this. i want to go to jump school and ranger school, but i really like the tradition and everything else about the Corps (except the bad gear, from what ive heard)

all i want to do is become an infantry officer. which service would give me a better chance for becoming an infantry officer through rotc?

i also HAVE ASTHMA, but i can get a waiver. I have been prescribed an inhalor just incase, but have not had an attack or needed to use the inhalor since i was about 12.
i also had my mind set on being a Marine since september 11, but until recently i opened my mind a bit more, and did much more research. i love the Corps, but it seems the Army has more opportunities.
