I'm in NJROTC in high school right now, and I was wondering weather to join the US Army academy, (West Point), or the US Naval Academy, (Annapolis). I want to know which one would give me better experience for a verity of civil service jobs like becoming a Policeman, Fireman, Federal Officer etc.

WHO CARES ABOUT NJROTC it is a joke of a program and nothing you do in it will assist you in the real military except calling us sir and ma'am. they have substandard instructors that cant even teach a proper salute. Go into either one. If you like the ocean go navy if you like the NOT ocean go Army.

Neither for the goals you set. West Point I believe still focuses on engineering. not sure what the Naval Academy requires but Law enforcement and firefighter are not Military jobs. You can go to West Point and become a Military Police officer but you will be disappointed in the job description. I was an enlisted MP for 7 years and my officers did very little in law enforcement. Currently, both of these services contract Federal firefighters(civilians) to service the bases. Both schools though, provide a first rate education.
