Url ReWrite and htaccess, domain.com/file.html TO: domain.com/file?
My WebHosting Provider Uses Cpanel.

domain.com/file.html TO domain.com/file
I heard I need htaccess to ReWrite the Url, not sure how to go about it.

Cpanel claims that the .htaccess already exists, but doesn't show up as a file icon.
I'm new at this, so if you have a *very* detailed beginners guide for Url ReWriting Htaccess, that might be helpful too. Info geared toward Cpanel would be even more helpful.
