urine tests

I am a 22 year old male. I have taken a couple drug tests for my employers and in two cases they told me my urine had to be sent in for further evaluation and I know for a fact I would not fail as I haven't done any drugs. I was told that this happens to a lot of diabetics, where something with their urine is different so it shows up like a failed drug test at first inspection. I am not really sure exactly, but I got had blood work to done to see what my glucose level was. It turned out to be 94, which is normal. I was wondering if anybody would know why my urine tests kept coming back wierd? could it be kidney related? I have crappy insurance and if I could do some tests without going to the doctor it would be nice.

any help would be great!

Kidney disease, kidney infection, liver disease and diabetes (glucose level doesn't matter) can give you a false-positive. Something as simple as OTC ibuprofen can give you a Fp.

But the real chances of getting a false-positive depends on the quality of the laboratory doing the testing. If this keeps happening or becomes an issue, I'd strongly suggest you insist on an outside lab to do your next screening.

do you simply KNOW for a fact that there just IS something even truely 'wrong' with the tests themselves like when you actually get the results? or do they just need to send them for what you stated as 'further evaluation" only? even tho YOU know that you did not actually 'take anything' that was illegal or any other types of actual drugs, sometimes certain supplements/herbals, or esp certain cold medications CAN create the "appearance' of something simply 'being in your system" too. just some UA stuff.
