Urine Sample for Drug Testing Obtained from Unflushed Toilet?

A relative of mine would like to test there son for Drugs without him knowing about it, basically they don't have the best relationship and think it will cause more of a rift if they are asked to consent to a drug test.

However they would like to know if He is using drugs, and are looking for a way to obtain a urine test without there son knowing.

I was thinking they could have him go to the bathroom and use the urine in the toilet for the sample, assuming they could convince him not to flush.

Does anyone know if you can get an accurate result from Urine in a toilet that hasn't been flushed?

From personal experience, I'd say no, but I'm not an expert. For my very first job, I had to do a urine drug test and was unable to pee in the cup (shy bladder), so I figured peeing and then getting a sample from the toilet would work just fine. Apparently it wouldn't ... They told me they wouldn't hire me when I told them I'd need to take it again because I messed it up, haha. I was so embarassed, but ended up getting the job a few days later

Highly unlikely it would be accurate...It would be too dilute...Try this...turn the water supply to the whole house off (pretend there is a cutoff somewhere down the street), Flush the water from the toilet tanks. with any luck he will leave a viable sample at the bottom of the commode and be unable to flush it away.

Maybe Hair drug test is an option? Hair testing is considered accurate and can indicate drug use as far back as 90 days[21], As hair grows out, any drugs used are encased in the hair shaft. Longer hair can reveal an individual's drug history spanning a longer period than shorter hair. Human hair grows an average of 0.5 inches/month, which corresponds to 30 days of possible drug testing for approximately every half-inch. Testing laboratories generally require between 0.5 and 1.5 inches for testing. This represents approximately 30 to 90 days of drug use. The standard for hair 1.5 inches or longer is 80 strand or 120 if only 0.5 inches as it is by picogram weight that the hair is uniformly tested. Some people attempt to circumvent this through shaving their heads. This does not usually work. In the absence of the required amount of hair on the scalp, body hair can be used as an acceptable substitute in the order of face, chest, arm pit, and on some occasions the police use leg hair that has a shorter slower growth rate. If all hair is shaven, the follicles of the hair may be used in place of the hair. Hair follicle testing is normally not part of an employer-based drug testing program using hair.

In recent years, hair testing has been the subject of a number of lawsuits. Studies have shown that different ethnic groups have different hair structure, potentially leading to false positives.[22].

thats outta hand.
if theyre willing to do that, chances are youll get a better answer for this by askin the doctor who will test the sample.

30 - 50 milliliter of urine is all you need (been drug tested 5 times)

Getting urine from the toilet might not be a solid sample considering the dilution.

However a more accurate drug test can be used by getting his hair samples, which I am sure is easier to obtain.
