scholarship? I don't have space!? I had to write a 250-350 word essay describing the student's educational and career objectives (ok, I have done that). But in all of my English classes, I was being taught to write an introductory paragraph with a hook, background information, and thesis. In that essay of mine, I don't have space for that and I don't know whether or not I should bother trying making space for it????
Without the introduction, my essay begins with "To begin with...." which sounds weird, huh?
