Urgent Advice please

I am a 21 year old male and I am curious to know if it is normal that on average in a night I pee 4-5 times, a large amount. I am also always thirsty at night. I am not sure if a humidifier will help this.

I am also very tired in the afternoons and sleep on average 10-11 hours a day. I was anemic around the age of 16 and am wondering if it could possibly have come back. I don't think at my age I should be sleeping 11 hours a night and still requiring a nap in the afternoon. Please give me any advice or information you have.

And finally my last question is if you believe my symptoms point towards anemia, is always being thirsty and using the bathroom very regularly a symptom as well?

Thank you.

I think a visit to your doctor would be in order.

Diabeities springs to mind, but it could be one of many things, or it could be nothing.

Make an appointment.

eric987: I agree, go get checked for diabetes. You can be diagnosed with type 1 up until age 30 or so. The symptoms of Hyperglycemia are: Extreme thirst, Frequent urination, Dry skin, Hunger, Blurrred vision, Drowsiness, and Nausea. When my son was diagnosed with this he was in Ketoacidosis. That's where your body is using fat for energy. The pancreas wasn't making any insulin and so the body was surviving on the fat stores. Don't wait until you get to that point. You could also go into a diabetic coma if your sugars are too high. It might be something else but you won't know until you see the doctor.
