Upgrading to iOS5

Hello, i have an iPhone 4, i have installed Cydia and i would like to know if i can upgrade to iOS5, i dont care about Cydia because i dont use it....

You can update to ios 5 but you'll lose your jailbreak.

I was trying but I got an error 3194

error 3194 means itunes was unable to verify the software with apple servers.

have you ever made changes to you "hosts" file or used tiny urabrella?

if you have used tiny urabrella you need to open it up click on the advanced tab and uncheck "set hosts to cydia on exit"

then close tiny urabrella and reboot then you should be able to upgrade it iOS 5

are you hitting "Upgrade" or "Restore" in iTunes?

if your pressing upgrade try restore. it will backup the phone then wipe it and install the most current iOS available (iOS 5) and then restore your apps/data/media

Im trying restore because I want to get rid of cydia and keep the same firmware I have, I have download it but when I restore pressing alt + shift and select the file after descompressig it gives the erro
