Upgrading 8100 to 8120?

Did you sign a two year or one year contract? At the 11th month mark you should be able to upgrade through corporate but the amount of your discount will be determined by how long of a contract you originally signed. On a two year contract you are supposed to be at 22 months or greater before you can technically get a full discount. Yes, I know people have been able to do it sooner which is why I stated "supposed to" and "technically".

They still do offer 1 year contracts but most of those customers currently are Class M (the old SmartAccess program) on Flexpay. A few people don't want the long term contract so they choose to pay more for the phones and do a 1 year instead. As for renewal, we aren't permitted to do a 1 year renewal/upgrade anymore, they don't pay us any commission at all for those. Not sure whether corporate stores can still do them.

yes I signed a 2 year contract with T mobile, but I was wondering how do people with 2 year contracts get an upgrade in like 8 months out of the 2 years they signed up with tmobile.. lol someone explain this to me please?
 
I upgraded last year to another phone and they gave me what was called a partial upgrade since it had been since 2005 when I bought a new phone.

I get another full upgrade this year but with the number of new phones out and being released, I'm having a hard time wondering what to get.
 
All the carrier's have the option of doing partial upgrades on customers. at&t bases it on ARPU. Not sure what the others use for their basis. Sometimes it just depends on the time of the month you call (no that isn't a slam against women and Aunt Flo. lol). I don't think there is anything in writing with T-Mobile on what will cause them to allow you to do an early upgrade.

TMO is great about letting you do an early upgrade. They want you to up your contract again. They let me do it, but I have been a customer since 2002 and they really treat me right.
