upgrading 7100t

Hi and thank you everyone for reading and for any help you can give me. I'm sorry in advance for the rookie question but would really appreciate some information.

I got a T-mobile 7100t for free and activated it on rogers. The signal strength is brutal! Can I upgrade with rogers firmware and if so which one would I use for 7100t? Rogers won't offer any support since it's not their product, so thank you for your help!
 
You would want to use the 7100r OS I believe.

Download Rogers BB OS's here:

Then install it on your PC.

Then Start DM and if it prompts you to update then its the correct Software.

My application is already showing: 4.1.0.309
So does it make sense that upgrading with the link from the rogers site using the 7100r os; it's going to solve the poor signal quality problem I'm getting now?

Hope all is well. I'm not sure if re-installing the BB OS from Rogers website would resolve your signal problem.

From my experience, this 7100t model does have a weaker signal receiver. It's not kool, I've experienced this with our users at work. You can give it a try, but I wouldn't count on it too much.
