upgrade to HTC Incredible, Motorola Droid X or wait?

so after having the HTC Droid Eris or a long time, I'm finally eligible for my NE2 discount. I can't decide if I should upgrade to the HTC Inc, Droid X or wait a few months and see if there is anything coming out that I might like better. I don't need a 4g phone since I'm not in a market that will get 4g for a long time I'm sure. Anyone have any reviews of the Inc, or DX?

IMHO you should buy an original droid off craigslist for ~80 bucks and put CM on it while waiting on the thunderbolt, bionic, revolution etc. Yeah those are 4g but they also have 4.3" screens, 768mb of ram in the TB case, QHD screen in the bionic's case.

The incredible has a small screen, the droid x has a locked bootloader, current crop of vzw phones is kinda ehhh unless you're a girl.
 
There is always going to be something newer, better, cooler, etc., on the horizon. If you keep waiting you will never get anything!
 
good points from both of you. I think I'll look for a cheap used phone for the time being and keep my upgrade for later until a better phone comes out.
 
Revolution, Droid Bionic, Thunderbolt seems likely to come out soon. Rumors of a new Incredible (non 4G) also abound. Don't know what happened to the HTC Merge (supposedly Verizon's version of the G2/Desire Z/Shift EVO).

But a Droid X or Droid Incredible are pretty fast compared to what you have, the Droid Eris. This is speaking from someone who is using a Droid Incredible now after a Droid Eris. Another phone I may suggest would be the Droid 2 Global or the Droid Pro.
