upgrade firmware for n80 by air

does anyone try this? i have tried and work great. u don't need to download anything to your computer, upgrade straight from your fone using wifi or internet service.
 
Could you tell us how you did it? And Please provide the link to the site that you downloaded from... thank you. I have a Mac and "over the air" would save me a lot of hassel...
 
-You need the firmware SW v 4.0623.0.41 or above. (If you don't you will have to use Nokia NSU to get there)
-Once you have the firmware go to connections
-Go to device manager
-and update using fota
 
I was wondering if I could update over WIFI but I do not have this option....

I currently have .41

Where does one obtain this software?

FOTA update is only available on certain versions of the firmware

For example Orange UK v4 firmware doesnt allow FOTA at present


This is the screen you get on Orange if you go into Menu -> Connect -> Dev. Mgr
 
my non-ie n80 came with a pre .41 v4 but was also rm-92 (chinese) and device manager looked like that.
flashed with v4 .42 turning it into a rm-91 (europe) i got fota

i wonder what else is different between the firmware for n80 and n80ie
